Terms of Service

Acceptance

UrSkools is owned and managed by Swinson Technologies Limited ("Swinson Technologies Limited", "we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between a school and Swinson Technologies Limited.

These terms govern access to and use of the UrSkools platform, including the website, admin dashboards, mobile-friendly portals, and any related services (together, "the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, a school and its authorized users agree to be bound by these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a school, you confirm you have the authority to do so.

Accounts & eligibility

An administrator account must be created by an authorized representative of the school. That administrator is responsible for creating and managing sub-accounts for teachers, parents, and students, and for the accuracy of information entered. Keep login credentials confidential; you're responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Plans & billing

UrSkools is charged per student, per term, at the rate shown on our pricing page, after a 30-day free trial. For paid subscriptions:

• Fees are paid in advance for each term, based on the number of students you register. Each payment gives your school 4 months of access from the day it is made. Students added during a term are paid for at the same rate.
• You may stop using the Service at any time; fees already paid for the current term are not refunded unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload false, defamatory, or unlawful content, or content you don't have the right to share.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another school's data or to the platform's infrastructure.
• Interfere with the normal operation of the Service, including through automated scraping or overload.

Ownership of school data

All academic, financial, and personal records you enter into UrSkools belong to your school. We act as a processor of that data on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may export your data at any time, and you may request full deletion after account closure, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Availability

We work to keep the Service available and perform scheduled maintenance outside peak school hours where possible. Occasionally the Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, third-party outages, or circumstances outside our control; we'll communicate significant planned downtime in advance where we can.

Termination

You may close your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, fail to pay outstanding fees after notice, or pose a security risk to the platform or other schools. On termination, you'll have a reasonable window to export your school's data before it is deleted.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, UrSkools is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including data loss resulting from user error. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, such as liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a mandatory local law applicable to your school requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated to school administrators by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
